About This Activity
The 5th annual Tour & Taste Bike Ride and Beer Tasting Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. All proceeds will benefit the Valley AIDS Network. The event will take place at Brothers Craft Brewing (formerly Three Brothers) in Harrisonburg, VA.
Riders can choose between 50, 25 and 15 mile ride options, all of which start and finish at the brewery. Bike support and rest stops will be provided along the course. Riders will enjoy scenic courses through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. All riders will receive a t-shirt, 2 beers or soft drinks, lunch and live music.
Participants can also choose the tasting-only option (does not include the ride). Tasters will receive a t-shirt, 2 beers or soft drinks, lunch and live music.
Although registration will stay open until the day of the event, participants must register by Saturday, September 19th to guarantee a t-shirt and lunch.
Lunch will be catered by local favorites, The Picnic Basket, and will include a sandwich, apple, chips and a dessert item.
Live music will be provided by Mercy Creek. This Virginia-based group has been performing what they describe as "aggressive folk rolk" since 1998. Visit their website at www.mercycreek.com for a sample of their music. This is a group you won't want to miss!
New this year, we are also offering a basic entrance ticket which will include live music and one beer or soft drink.
We are also adding a fundraising option this year. Participants who choose to fundraise can earn custom Tour & Taste gear. Those who raise $50 or more (on top of registration cost) will receive a drawstring bag. Those who raise $100 or more will receive a cycling cap and drawstring bag. Those who raise $250 or more will receive a short-sleeve cycling jersey, cycling cap and drawstring bag. And those who raise $500 or more will receive a windbreaker, short-sleeve cycling jersey, cycling cap and drawstring bag. To be eligible for these rewards, funds must be raised by Saturday, September 19th.
Finally, we are also offering a referral incentive this year. Anyone who refers three or more first-time participants will receive a custom Tour & Taste water bottle. These participants must list your name on their registration form.
