Face the Elements 5K Run/Walk

Event Date

Sat, Aug 30, 2014

Hale, MI

About This Activity

The Hale High School Student Council has organized a 5K run to raise money for a non-profit organization called the Iosco County Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council (ICCF YAC).  ICCF YAC is a group of chosen individuals from the schools in Iosco County (Oscoda, Hale, Whittemore, and Tawas) that come together once a month to meet and come up with ways to help and better the community. ICCF YAC raises money to place in an endowment fund. The money from the endowment fund then goes to local organizations, and programs that help stop child abuse, prevent suicide, stop underage alcohol and drug use, keeping kids physically active, stopping bullying, and progams that help to provide unfortunate children with everyday basic needs such as food and clothing.
