Have you ever wondered if you could really outrun the cops? Now is your chance to test your skills with no consequences. It doesn’t matter if you're an athlete or a family looking to have fun for the weekend. You are able to sign up for the 5K run/walk or 10K run. At the start of the race all of the police officers will start at the rear of the crowed just like in real life when they are trying to catch someone. **Maybe you can keep your lead and beat them to the finish line… Or maybe not.

-Do you really get to OUTRUN the COPS?Yes! Gurnee Police Officers and Police Officers from surrounding communities will line up at the rear of the race. Yes! Some of the Police Officers might actually beat you to the finish line.-Can I wear a costume? Yes! Cops chase robbers so feel free to wear running attire or a themed costumes-Can participants or businesses get their pictures taken with the Police Officers at the event? Yes! We will have an area set up for photos

Free Parking - Available behind the Gurnee Police Department and the Warren Newport Library

Race Area
The majority of the course will be on the scenic Des Plaines River Trail (crushed limestone).

**Afterwards stick around and get some pictures with the Officers and squad cars.Race t-shirts will be given out to participants that signed up prior to the deadline of May 24th. You can still sign up afterward but shirts are not guaranteed. OUTRUN THE COPS! & WALK FOR THE KIDS charity race is a great event for athletes and families alike. This year we are again teaming up with the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center. The Advocacy Center is committed to providing a safe environment for children who are victims of abuse. Their goal is to investigate and help successfully prosecute offenders of child abuse without causing further trauma to the victims.The Gurnee FOP Social Lodge #266 is comprised of the men and women of the Gurnee Police Department and is a charitable organization under 501(c)(8) EIN: 36-3984361 that raises money throughout the year to help support other community organizations and special events or causes.

5K $30 until race day -$35 on race day. 10K $40 until race day -$45 on race day.
