Now is your chance to test your skills with no consequences for charity

Can you earn the badge medal and outrun the cops for charity? 
*All participants get a medal but the ones that place in their age category can win the coveted badge with rank. 

Chief takes the place of 1st place
Captain takes the place of 2nd place
Sergeant takes the place of 3rd place

***Online Registration will be closed on Wednesday June 1st at 1 p.m.
You will still be able to do race day registration from 7 a.m.-7:45 a.m.
-Children 10 and under are free with paid adult registration
-Do you really get to try to OUTRUN the COPS?
YES- Gurnee Officers and Police Officers from surrounding communities will line up at the rear of the race. YES! Some of them will actually beat you to the finish line
-Can I wear a costume?
YES-Cops do chase robbers so feel free to wear running attire or a themed related costume. Inappropriate costumes will not be able to participate in the event.
-Can I really win a badge?
YES-Winners, Chief (1st), Captain (2nd), Sergeant (3rd) in each age category will receive an OUTRUN THE COPS badge medal. 
First 500 participants will get a finishers medal.
-Is this a times event?
YES-J3 Timing Systems will time both the 5K and 10K.
-Can I pick-up my packet and bib early?
YES-Early packet pickup will be on Friday June 3rd from 8 a.m.-8p.m. at the Gurnee Police Department Community Room.
-Where does the money go?
This year we are again teaming up with the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center. The Advocacy Center is committed to providing a safe environment for children who are victims of abuse. Their goal is to investigate and help successfully prosecute offenders of child abuse without causing further trauma to the victims
-What can/can't I bring to the event?
Strollers are welcome but must start in the rear of the race.
We ask that you don't bring any animals.
-What is the Gurnee Fraternal Order of Police Social Lodge 266?
The Gurnee FOP Social Lodge #266 is comprised of the men and women of the Gurnee Police Department and is a charitable organization under 501(c)(8) EIN: 36-3984361 that raises money throughout the year to help support other community organizations and special events or causes.
