About This Activity
Love Your Kidneys MKE Run/Walk encourages families to run or walk for a healthier future and raise awareness for kidney disease. The event is managed by Next Level Sports and features a timed 5K run/walk on a USTAF certified course and 1 mile untimed walk. Children 11 and under can register for the KIDney Fan Club to join in the fun and take home great prizes! Love Your Kidneys MKE takes place on a flat, paved trail inRoot River Parkway Southon a spring morning where you may even pass turkeys or a fox along the way!

Parking will be located at Greendale High School and shuttle buses, provided by GoRiteway, will drop you off at the park. More details in the event schedule above.

Our friends at Wehr Nature Center invite you to stick around after Love Your Kidneys MKE Run/Walk and enjoy a casual bike ride through Root River Parkway. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., guided by Wehr Nature Center Naturalist, will share information on the ancient natural features of the landscape, historic landmarks, and wildlife.
The hour and a half ride will begin at Greendale High School and costs $10 per rider. All participants are required to provide their own bicycle. Helmets and water strongly encouraged and be prepared to ride on public roads. All participants are to follow rules of the road and all applicable traffic laws.
