About This Activity

GCI was started in 1977 as an all-volunteer, grassroots nursing home advocacy program.  In the past three and a half decades we have evolved into a multi-faceted agency focused on services for people with a variety of disabilities from more than 40 Colorado communities.  We serve approximately 1200 individuals with temporary and permanent disabilities annually, and now offer a full continuum of services including:

  • Affordable, accessible housing
  • Home health care
  • The first fully certified Supported Living Program for brain injury survivors
  • A specialized day program for brain injury survivors
  • Physical and occupational therapy, including warm water therapy
  • Wellness gym and aquatic fitness programs (open to the general public)

The Run/Walk event is designed to bring awareness of what GCI does not only for our residents but also for the community at large. We need the support of our community to make this event possible.  We hope you will join us and experience firsthand the pride we take in the work we do.
