About This Activity
This will be the fourth year for the Good Dog and Dirty Dog 5K Walk and Run. This event is for walkers, runners, and their dogs! We are excited to offer this event for athletes and their dogs and hope everyone has a fun time.
The Good Dog 5K Walk will start at 8:05 am, at the south end of the Granite Beach parking area at Folsom Lake SRA. All athletes and dogs MUST Walk the entire 5K course. The course will have one aid station at the half way point for both walkers and their dogs. All Good Dog Walkers and their Dogs will receive a Finisher Medal and Dog tag at the finish line. Additional dogs can be signed up to accompany the walker and dog #1 for a fee of $10 per dog. Each additional dog will receive a Dog tag and Doggie-goody bag.
We will have a 'Runner only - No Dog' category with individual awards to the top male and female runners in this category.
The Dirty Dog 5K Run will start at 8:00 am, at the south end of the Granite Beach parking area at Folsom Lake SRA. Athletes and their dogs MUST run safely and without entangling other dogs. The course will have one aid station at the half way point for both walkers and their dogs. All Dirty Dog Runners and their Dogs will receive a Finisher Medal and Dog tag at the finish line.
Included for each competitor is a custom Good Dog/Dirty Dog tech-tee race shirt, a goody bag with treats for both owners and dogs, and a post race meal.
Awards will be presented as follows:
First, second, and third place in each of three divisions for the Dirty Dog 5K Run:
Small Dog (up to 25 lbs), Medium Dog (26 to 60 lbs) Large Dog (61 to 99 lbs+) Extra Large Dog (100 to 140 lbs) and Extra Large Dog (141 lbs+) will each receive an award.
TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus a $25 processing fee. Credits are not given during race week. Race transfers are allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There is a $25 transfer fee. Participant transfers are allowed for this event, with a $15 fee. Transfers are not allowed during race week. ALL TBF Racing events are held Rain or Shine.
