About This Activity

Welcome to the Grand Winter Challenge!

A scavenger hunt race through downtown Grand Rapids that will take teams of 2 on a tour of the city while deciphering clues to specific checkpoints.
The adult course will cover approx.
3-4 miles of twists and turns to find all pieces of the puzzle.
The Family Course will cover approx. 1 mile of exploring downtown GR!

Participant Information
- Adult Course (Teams must consist of at least one 18 year old with a teammate no younger than 14 on Race Day): The Adult Race will be capped at 500 participants (250 Teams) for 2014.
- Family Course (Teams may consist of up to two 18+ and up to three <18). The Family Race will be capped at 100 Teams of up to five for 2014.

What Sets Us Apart?: The goal of this event is to be a fun way to encourage activity for groups of friends and family that want to incorporate more activity and exercise into their daily lives. As a part of the Living Well - Grand Rapids a health & fitness show we aim to capture the interest of many show goers and build the event in future years.

Totally Green Event: The Grand Winter Challenge is “Going Green” in our first year. This means as little waste as possible and increased efficiency for the organizers and participants. How are we doing this? 1. Exclusively Online Registration 2. E-Packets for sponsor direct marketing materials 3. Re-Useable Water Bottles for participants 4. Extended recycling on-site.

Charity Partner: My Team Triumph, an amazing local program that is an athletic ride-along program created for children, teens, adults, and veterans with disabilities who would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to My Team Triumph.
