Event details and schedule

Add’l….

1M @ 8:00 AM; 5K @ 8:30 AM

Note: Packet (bib and 4 safety pins) pick-up for online registrants will be at the race site on race morning from 7:00 AM – 7:50 AM.

Our racing mission continues to be to produce affordable, hedonistically fun & athletically competitive races, that are technically sound (correctly-measured courses with minimum turns and visible distance – mile or Km – markers), that also benefit some charity(-ies) with a populist & gender parity focus – for the average runner/walker (including the novices) and also for the seasoned, serious racer.

The fourteenth edition of the Summer Sizzler 5K Run/walk will engage the trails at beautiful Mike Lewis Park in Grand Prairie. Come join us, have a “sizzlingly”  marvelous time, get a lovely leg workout and at the same time lend a helping hand to the Arlington Life Shelter, a compassionate rehabilitative facility for some of the homeless – families, men, women, children – in our midst. See you there. This race is the second or middle leg of the Summer Scintillation Troika (SST) series…..

By the way, as in past years, there will be a special recognition award for everyone that registers for all three SST races…..

Net proceeds from the race will benefit Arlington Life Shelter -- “providing short-term shelter and support services that help our neighbors who are homeless integrate into society and become contributors to a thriving community.”
