About This Activity

The Sawtooth Mountain Challenge is a true North Shore Classic. Starting on the Pincushion Mountain Ski Trails overlooking Grand Marais and Lake Superior, the course weaves in and out of the woods over some of the best singletrack in Minnesota. Three different categories have been created for Citizen Racers (8 miles of ski trail and singletrack), Sport Racers (14 miles of mostly singletrack), and Expert Racers (21 miles of mostly singletrack). Custom birchbark awards have been created to reward the top finishers, but all racers will go home with some great swag (and beer) from our sponsors.
