About This Activity

Runners of all ages, lace up your running shoes and race to support the Multicultural Coalition!

The third-annual Multicultural Day of the Dead Festival (Dia de los Muertos)  is an event hosted by the Multicultural Coalition of Grand Island, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

Come together with family and friends to celebrate the unique and vibrant tradition called Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), all while supporting a vital community organization.

So what is the Day of the Dead? It’s a holiday mainly celebrated throughout Mexico, but is quickly growing in popularity around the world, and on October 24th it’s coming to Grand Island! Traditionally, everyone gathered together to remember friends and family members who died, and helped support their spiritual journeys. The name “Day of the Dead” might sound a little unusual to some, but it’s actually all about celebrating the things that make life great.

 So let’s celebrate!

 What your registration includes:

1 Mile Skeleton Dash Includes: Race T-shirt, race bib and post-race snack

5k Race Includes: Race T-shirt, timed race bib, goody bag and post-race snack.

Personalized Race Bibs!

“The dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them.” On this day as we celebrate Dia de los Muertos, we will remember.

Wear your personalized back bib during the race to celebrate your loved one.

Your personalized back bib must be purchased seperately, before October 15th, click here for more information.
