Running-5K - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
Paul Detweiler was a student at Gettysburg College who passed away this past summer from a year long battle with a brain tumor. He made an unforgettable impact on everyone he knew with his one of a kind personality. For those who had the privilege of knowing him, there is a piece of Paul left in all of us. He was an optimistic, genuine, and lovable person who epitomized the beauty in this world. He was loved by many, from Pennridge to Alpha Phi Omega to Gettysburg schoolmates to his wonderful family at home. His dream was to put on a 5k as a service project, and to honor him and his wishes, we will be living out this dream. The run will be co-sponsored by Alpha Phi Omega and Alpha Chi Rho. All proceeds with go to the Paul Detweiler Memorial Scholarship at Gettysburg College. So, get your running shoes on, put on a smile, and remember... Anything is PAULssible, the sky is the limit.
