Schedule of Events-

8:00am-10:30am Check in and registration (arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your race start time!)

Race will begin & end at Peebles Softball Complex 518 S 9th St, Garden City KS. Out and back Course. Registrations received after March 18th, 2016 will be subject to a $10 late fee & will not be guaranteed a shirt. ALL same day registrations must be completed by 9:45am (4/2/16) to guarantee chip timing. The 6th Annual Outrun Childhood Obesity ½ Marathon, 10k, 5k, 2 mile run will raise funds to benefit the GCRC Fit Camp program. Fit Camp is designed to help youth understand and appreciate a healthy and active lifestyle. Fit Camp is provided to participants at no cost to the families. Outrun Childhood Obesity provides funding for equipment, participant t-shirts, healthy snacks, instructors for Fit Camp, and much, much more. NEW this year- early Half Marathon start time available for participants who anticipate a finish greater than 2.5 hours may start at 9:00am (not required). Course support will be limited for early starters and carrying hydration/nutrition is recommended. Water will be available but aid stations will not be manned until 9:45am. Early starters who finish under 2 hours will be disqualified. Registrants receive- Course Information-  Chip Timing! Course is entirely paved road. Out & Back.  Long sleeve tech shirt! ½ Marathon & 10k Course include several hills.  ½ Marathon finisher’s medals! Water stations at mile 1, 1.55, 3.1, 5, 6.55, and at the same locations on the route back. (1/2 Marathon participants only) Port’O Potty will be available at the turn around points for the 10k & ½ Marathon. Awards will be presented to the overall top male and top female of all divisions except the 2 mile, as well as the top two male & female finishers of each age group in the ½ Marathon, 10k, and 5k. Awards for the 2 mile will only be given to the top 2 male and female for the 12&under and 12-18 age groups to encourage youth participation.
