About This Activity

The Hustle for Hope is a 5K race hosted by the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation and the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists benefitting the Gainesville Area AIDS Project.  Before the start of the race, we will have speakers present to talk about living with HIV, disease management, and elimination of a stigma.  Special thanks to our speakers, Tige Harrison and Dr. Emily Huesgen, PharmD, BCACP, AAHIVP.

Officially Timed by Start 2 Finish Race Management, and entertainment by KISS 105.3 FM!

100% of the proceeds from the Hustle for Hope and associated fundraising events will be donated to the Gainesville Area AIDS Project.

"At the Gainesville Area AIDS Project, we offer an alcohol and drug free safe haven where people with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones can gather in a friendly atmosphere free from discrimination and stigma to enjoy each other's company and help stay abreast of the development of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We serve lunch on Tuesdays. There is never a charge. We also welcome ideas for social events or get togethers in addition to those which are regularly scheduled."

"IPSF is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-religious organisation and is the leading international advocacy organisation of pharmacy students promoting improved public health through provision of information, education, networking, and a range of publication and professional activities."

A special thank you to all the organizations who are helping to make this event possible:
