About This Activity
The HERS KEEP ABREAST 5K Walk, 5K/10K Run and Community Expo brings hundreds of breast cancer patients and survivors from all over the Bay Area together to lace up their sneakers and rally family, friends and neighbors to raise funds to support those who have battled breast cancer.
Course ~ All courses are on flat and fast, paved road. Please note that the course is not USATF certified. The distance has been measured and is approximate. No bikes or skateboards on course. T-Shirts ~ Participants receive a free t-shirt as part of their registration. If you register on the day of the event, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a t-shirt. You can help us plan more accurately by registering early, so we know your size! Note, children under age 11 may participate at no cost (if accompanied by a participating adult), they will only receive a t-shirt after the event if available.
Awards ~ Presented to the top runners in each event (5K and 10K Run). All participants receive a finisher ribbon.

7:00 am - 9:00 am Check-In & Race Day Registration 8:00 am* - Opening Ceremony, including special tribute in memory of, and in honor of Breast Cancer Survivors 8:45 am - Pre-event Warm-ups. 9:00 am - 10K Runners start 9:15 am - 5K Runners start 9:20 am - 5K Walkers start

*A moving opening ceremony that includes the release of doves by a circle of breast cancer survivors. After this uplifting moment, participants “hit the trail” and then return to visit the Community Resource Expo.
Directions ~ From 1-880 in Fremont, take Decoto Rd (Hwy 84) exit east. Right on Paseo Padre Pkwy, left on Isherwood Way, proceed to Park entrance. From Mission Blvd (Hwy 238) in Fremont, turn south on Nursery Ave., right on Niles Blvd, left on Osprey Dr, left on Quarry Lakes Drive, proceed to Park entrance.
