About This Activity

Race in beautiful Long Pond and along rural country roads that pass lakes, farms and cranberry bogs in Southeast Massachusetts as part of this half distance triathlon (1.2 mile swim/56 mile bike/13.1 mile run) and aquabike (1.2 mile swim/56 mile bike) organized by Sun Multisport Events. Now in it's 8th year, the Patriot Half has a reputation for being a safe, scenic and well organized event that is ideal for seasoned long course veterans as well as triathletes looking to complete their first half distance race. Entry fee for the Patriot Half includes terrific swag, a pass to the post-race catered meal and a chance to win valuable giveaways.

Registration fees

  • Individual: $220 until 10/31/13; $235 from 11/1/13 until 12/31/13; $245 thereafter
  • Relays: $315 until 12/31/13; $330 thereafter
  • NOTE: The Patriot Half is a USAT sanctioned event; USAT Annual members will need to have a valid USAT license on race. If you are not an annual member, you will be required to purchase a 1-day USAT license for $12. If you are a USAT Annual member and your license expires prior to the race date (6/14/14) you will be require to renew your license. Renewal of your license will extend your membership 12 months from the current expiration date.

Charity Slots

Charity slots have been reserved for Hale Reservation. Hale Reservation is a private, non-profit educational organization that manages 1,130 acres of woodlands in Westwood and Dover, Massachusetts. Hale is most widely recognized for its summer day camp programs which annually serve over 4,400 children from 70 communities in the Greater Boston area. Hale Reservation also offers a family program, outdoor and environmental education experiences for children and adults, and open space for casual recreational use.

Registration Insurance 

Registering athletes have the option to purchase insurance that enables them to receive a refund of their registration fee if they get sick or injured and can't race (subject to terns and conditions). The name of this program is Registration Protector and you will be presented the option to purchase this insurance when completing the Patriot Half online regisration form.

Weather Policy

Race management reserves the right to alter or cancel all or part of the race due to inclement weather, acts of God or other unforseen circumstances that threaten the safety of participants or are out of event management's control. In the event of cancellation a partial credit towards the 2015 Patriot Half would be offered.

Friday, 6/13/14:

* 4:00pm-7:00pm: Race packet pick-up at Cathedral Camp

Saturday, 6/14/14 (RACE DAY!):

* 5:00am: Transition opens/race packet pick-up begins

* 6:30am: Race packet pick-up concludes

* 7:00am: Race start
