About This Activity
2016 celebrates the 14th anniversary of the Donate Life Texas 2nd Chance Run. The run will start in the same location as the last two years, in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards and continue through the Stockyards and onto the Trinity Trails.
New for 2016 is the Second addition of the Second Chance Run to be held in Sugarland (Houston area) Texas, on April 16, 2016.
The Donate Life Texas 2nd Chance Run honors organ and tissue donors in more than 109 Texas counties in North, Southeast and West Texas. While celebrating the lives they saved, and offering hope for those still waiting, the run honors organ and tissue donors and raises awareness of the need for organ, eye and tissue donation across the state.

This year we’re pleased to offer registered participants the chance to set up their own individual or team fundraising website. The website can be setup in memory of an organ or tissue donor, to honor a recipient or to support someone waiting for a second chance. The funds raised will help finance donor family/recipient meetings and donor memorials. There’s no fundraising minimum. Any amount raised will be greatly appreciated!
