So much more than any ordinary 5K, the first ever Publix Run for the Arts brings together the best that life has to offer: health and fitness, arts and culture, friends and family, and the scenic beauty of the Fort Myers waterfront. Post-race festivities include a scrumptious breakfast, a chance to make art at the Silk Experience, race awards, live entertainment, fabulous door prizes, and much more. Race Festivities & Goodies
The Publix Run to the Arts isn't just a race, it's a full morning of fun that kicks    
off Sunday morning at ArtFest Fort Myers with exceptional art, entertainment, and
children’s art activities. Your registration fee guarantees you a spot in the race as well as
all of these runners-only goodies.

   Artistic T-shirt
   You'll get your very own Run to the Arts t-shirt, with beautiful art by wildly popular 
   2014  ArtFest Fort Myer Poster artist, Tara Funk Grim. 
   There are 2 great choices - both high tech Ts - check them out on our website.

   Register by December 19 to make sure you get your size!

   Tasty Breakfast
   Your race bib is your ticket to the post-race breakfast, featuring tasty Publix treats -
   muffins & bagels with all the trimmings; bananas & bananas; yogurt; coffee and a few
   surprises.

   Silk Experience
   After you've worked out your body, you'll have time to exercise your creativity.
   Talented silk painting artists will show you the fun of painting on silk.
   Your creation might end up on public display.

   Race Awards
   Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group, plus special awards
   for male and female overall, masters, grand masters, and senior masters. Fort Myers
   Mayor Randy Henderson will be on hand to do the honors.

   Door Prizes Galore
   You'll be entered to win one of more than 50 great prizes, including weekends for two
   at 'Tween Waters Inn, South Seas Resort, Inns of Sanibel and Key West ... theater and
   symphony tickets ... art classes ... gift certificates to Fort Myers River District
   restaurants ... and many more. 

   Art & Entertainment 
   Enjoy live music and be the first to sneak a peek at the artist booths on Sunday
   morning, even before the festival opens to the public.

Event details and schedule

The Course

   The course will begin and end on Monroe Street in front of Harborside Event Center. 
   The route will be Monroe St. to Bay St. to Lee St. over the Calossahatchee Bridge and
   back the same route.

   With professional bib timing services by 3D Racing, you can have your results posted
   as soon as you finish the race

Preferred Parking

   Free runners-only parking will be available at West First Street and Carson Street.
   Look for the colorful signs. Park all day and enjoy ArtFest!

Race Day Schedule

7:00 - 8:00 a.m.  Race day registration and packet pick-up: Edwards Drive in front of Harborside Event Center. Photo ID required for packet pick-up.
8:15 a.m.  Race starts ... woo hoo!
9:00 - 9:45 a.m.  Breakfast, awards, Silk Experience, and raffle. Be there for all the fun!

Registration Fee:

   1/13/15, — you’re guaranteed to get your T-shirt size!
   Basic t-shirt $25, Deluxe t-shirt $30

   2/5/15, includes T-shirt (while supplies last)
   Basic t-shirt $30 (while supplies last)
   Deluxe t-shirt $35 (SOLD OUT)

   After 2/5/15, register on-site at the run, includes T-shirt (while supplies last)
   Basic t-shirt $40 (while supplies last)

Early Packet Pick-Up

    If you've registered before 1/31/15, you can get your packet early complete with race
    bib and t-shirt and be all set for race day.

    Two convenient locations:

    1. Fort Myers: February 5, 2015, 1-5 p.m. at Publix First Street Village,
        2160 McGregor Blvd.
    2. Cape Coral: February 7, 2015, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Run Shoppe,
       1407 Cape Coral Parkway

     All runners must pick up their own packet. Photo ID required.
     (Packets can also be picked up on race day, but be sure to get there early!)
