R4TF Florence 5K GLOW Run & Walk details:
1. IMPORTANT! We are expecting hundreds of GLOW runners! AWESOME! That being said, plan accordingly and expect traffic. Parking will be at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center and is first come, first serve. Please carpool with your teams, if possible & arrive as close to 6PM as possible. The race starts at 8PM on Saturday, August 2nd.
2. Early packet pick-up for the R4TF Florence 5K GLOW Run & Walk will be held at the Gander Mountain in Florence (340 Seville St, Florence, AL 35630) from 4:30PM-7:30PM on Friday, August 1, 2014. You can register to run at packet pick-up! If you are picking up someone else's packet, please have their confirmation printed out and ready to show us.
3. Late registration & packet pick-up starts at 6PM on Saturday, August 2nd (race day).

The R4TF - 5K GLOW Run & Walk is a night time race. Registration includes: race shirt, GLOW gear & admission to the afterGLOW party.

Glow gear will be available at the event and you can bring your own.

The Police Benevolent Foundation’s Race for the Fallen (R4TF) race series was created to honor the hardworking and dedicated members of our law enforcement community who risk their lives to protect our cities. These officers are men and women who have taken an oath to “protect and serve” the local citizens and their communities. The R4TF 5K event recognizes the contributions and sacrifices made by not only the officers, but also their families. For more information about the cause behind our race visit www.pbfi.org.

WHAT TO WEAR? This night time race is a GLOW run & walk, so be sure to wear your GLOW gear! We want to see the city of Florence GLOW!

Event Start: The Race for the Fallen will begin at 8:00 PM (or after sunset). The start line will be at the Pavilion at River Heritage Park in Florence, AL near the Marriott Shoals Conference Center. (Follow the signs posted on race day)

Check-in: Packet pick-up will be on Friday, August 1st the location is TBA. Late registration and packet pick-up will continue at 6:00 PM on race day; however, the registration fee will be increased the day of the race.

Parking: Participants and guests can park at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center. 

Timing System: This event will be timed by Solid Rock Race Timing.

Awards: In both male and female categories: Top 3 Overall; Top 3 Master Overall; First three finishers by age groups (both genders): Under 6, 6-11,12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-54, 65-69. 70-98, and 99+. Awards are also given to the first three law enforcement officers to finish – both male and female.

This race is managed by the Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. and the Alabama PBA, Inc.
