About This Activity
The 2nd Annual Fisher Bunnies 5K Run/Walk is set to take place on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at 8am. This safe and exciting course will take you through the quaint, friendly town of Fisher, Illinois and end at our newly renovated stadium. Participants will get to experience easy uphill grades while being cheered on by village residents. Our mission is to "promote community wellness and fitness" while raising valuable financial support for the junior/senior athletics. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to get one last race in before Winter!
Event details and schedule
Race Course: Generally flat with some short, uphill grades. Participants can run/walk the 5K course which will take them through residential neighborhoods of Fisher. There are no pets, bicycles, inline skates, or strollers allowed on the course.
5K Run/Walk Start Time: 8am; walkers will be positioned at the back of the runners.
Parking is available on Division Street (at the schools), as well as some parking availability on School Street. Volunteer parking is limited to Kellar Field only with no entry or exiting between 8-9am.
Entry Fee: Pre-registration deadline is September 24th. Availability of shirts is not guaranteed at the registration check-in on race day. No refunds are given to registered participants in order to cover the cost of the event. Fees are as follows:
$15.00 - Advanced registration before September 24th (No shirt)
$25.00 - Advanced registration before September 24th (Shirt included)
$30.00 - Late/Race Day registration until October 24th at 7:30am
Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration: Open from 6:30-7:30am at the Concession Area inside Kellar Field. Bibs are chip timed. No entries will be accepted after 7:30am.
Water Stations will be available at mile 1, mile 2, and at the end of the race.
Finish Chute will shut down one hour after the start of the race (approximately 9am)
Facilities & Refreshments: Mens and Womens restrooms are located at Kellar Field. Snacks, fruit, water, and electrolyte replacements drinks will be provided to participants immediately following the race. First aid & ambulatory care will be provided.
Awards ceremony & door prizes: The awards ceremony & prize drawing will begin at approximately 9:30am at Kellar Field. 5K Run Awards will be given to the top male & female finisher, top male & female in each age division, and multiple door prizes will be given away.
