Event News: This event is a fund raiser for the Rape Crisis Volunteers of Cumberland County. The Rape Crisis Volunteers of Cumberland County offers FREE, confidential services to any person whose life has been affected by sexual violence.  Their 24-hour Crisis Hotline it’s used to discuss your feelings, concerns, and to ask any questions you may be having.  It also includes 24-hour Emergency rooms responders, Licensed Professional Counseling, Support Groups, Court Room Advocacy, Community Awareness, and Address Confidentiality Program. The Rape Crisis Volunteers of Cumberland County is always interested in providing new services and knowing what clients want to see. Race Description: The Inaugural Freedom Run 5K is a very unique evening event for the city of Fayetteville and the surrounding areas.  The Freedom Run Event will be the first time Fayetteville and its community will have an official Road Race in the evening.  The event will start in our very own Medical Arts Center using some of the existing flat, and fast USA Track & Field Certified Courses. It is a real good way to start the 4th of July festivities.   

Awards: 5K: Medals for the age groups with trophies for the top 3 overall runners.

Pricing & Age Groups Information: 

5K: $30             Children 10 & under: $10

Age Categories: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 (Val Cat 65-70)

Packet Pickup & Registration: Rape Crisisi Volunteers of Cumberland County 515 Ramsey St. 28301 (Block & a half north from Rowan & Ramsey)

Race Day Information:  The event will take place at the Medical Arts Center 101 Robeson: Intersection of Hay St. & Bragg Blvd./Robeson, plenty of parking.  Registration will start at 5 pm and will close by 6:30 pm.


Refund, Transfer and Weather Policy: If the event is canceled, fees are non-refundable due to the charitable nature of the event. The event is a rain or shine.

How to Register: 

Registration on Active.com closes June 30, 2014. Race Day Registration closes at 6:00 p.m.
