About This Activity
The Race for Riley is a 5K run/walk, 1 Mile fun run and Tot Trot beginning and ending at Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville on Saturday 4/23/15 and bike rides on Sunday (4/24) in Palmetto that were created to raise awareness and funding for those at the forefront in dealing with and promoting research for cures and treatments of mitochondrial disorders and to provide support to affected individuals and families.
All proceeds collected from the Race for Riley go to the The Joseph Sams School (Riley's school). We hope to continue this effort with your help!
There will be food, fun and activities for kids of all ages. Awards in the 5K to overall male and female, overall male & female master, and the top 3 finishers in 14 age groups (male and female). Ribbons to all finishers in the 1 mile and Tot Trot.
Event details and schedule
Times: 5K - 9:30 a.m......1 Mile - 10:30 a.m.....Tot Trot - 11:00 a.m. - All runs/walks are on trails
There will be early packet pickup at Heritage Christian Church on Friday (4/22/16) from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Again this year - bike the smooth,silk backroads of the Hill Country of south Fulton County. Choose either a 10 mile, 30 mile or 62 mile ride.....great fun and exercise! The cycling events will take place on Sunday (4/24/16) at 2:00 p.m. at 10685 Hutcheson Ferry Road, Palmetto, GA 30268 (this is a private residence so please park only where there is signage) The registration for the cycling events is at another signup location at www.active.com
