The Holiday 3 mile Run/Walk For Toys
Little Tykes Fun Run
About This Activity
We are proud to have Bridgeport Hospital join us as the title sponsor for the 21st Annual Holiday 3 Mile Run/Walk for Toys on Sunday, December 15
All toys collected at the event will be donated & distributed to children in BRIDGEPORT HOSPITAL to the DR. TOM KENNEDY TOY CLOSET through the holiday season and beyond. Please consider donations to this great charity arm of the Bridgeport Hospital.
Our family-friendly event has a simple goal- to make as many kids as happy as we all can!
To help us achieve this goal, as part of your entry fee, we ask that you bring a new, unwrapped toy suitable for children between 1-16 years old.
Please note- this event is now officially measured as a 3 mile course rather than 5k (3.11mi) because the trail normally used is in poor condition. With this week's snow, rain, and more predicted, it is now set up as an all-road 3 miler. Thank you for understanding that we value the safety of our participants first and foremost.
Please see our family-friendly pricing outline below.
Additional proceeds from the run will be donated to the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund and the Fairfield Police Explorers.
Awards, prizes, edible items and/or crazy holiday gifts are given to the M&F Champions as well as three deep in age groups 9 & under, 10-12, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (and older if pre-registered)
Our course travels through the South Pine Creek area of Fairfield. It is FLAT, fun, and easily doable even for the youngest runners. Last year our runners ranged from 6 to 81!
If the conditions permit nearly half of a mile will be on a groomed, flat trail on part of a land trust. The decision on which course is used will be made on Thursday 12/12 after evaluating the conditions and weather predictions.
THIS EVENT MAY BE REDUCED IN DISTANCE IF ROAD & WEATHER CONDITIONS WARRANT IT FOR SAFETY & at the request of the police.
Our fees are as low as possible - our event welcomes even the youngest of runners and walkers.
