Coffee County Family Services (Coffee County, Alabama)

Coffee County Family Services Center is Non-Profit agency located in Enterprise, Al. It is committed to aiding families with needs and issues in an effort to promote family stability.

The Center was created in 1998 to work with low income and at-risk families to assist them with resources that impact health, education and stability. The Center had enjoyed stable funding until Summer 2012. Ms. Judy Crowley, Executive Director, has written and received grants from state, federal and private grantmakers and foundations since the left opened. The Family Services Center’s track record of monumental success with helping families succeed has been the reason that they have been able to maintain staff, services and programs in times of extreme cutbacks from both government and private resources. Without continued support, the Center is at risk of curtailing or suspending services, with an obvious negative effect to the community.

The Mission of the Coffee County Family Services Center is to support and strengthen families by providing a coordinated network to promote self-sufficiency.

Family Services Center offers a wide variety of services parenting classes for young adults (Young Parents Program), teenagers (Building Blocks) and fathers (Fatherhood Initiative Program), the Parent Project and other group parenting classes.

The Center also offers Breast Cancer education, Free Pap Smears, clinical breast exams and mammograms for low-income women over the age of 40, special programs regarding health issues for incarcerated women through the state and the Annual Coffee County Breast Cancer Forum. We also offer comprehensive resource referrals. Free tax preparation for those whose income is $50,000 or less is offered. Call for information.
