About This Activity

Welcome to all those that are interested in playing in the "Englewood Sun Coast Classic" Saturday, December 6 and Sunday. December 7, 2014. We will be using the format of Skill Level / with Extended Age Breakdowns.Br> Tournament Information
The "Englewood Sun Coast Classic" is open to all those that are at least 16 years old by December 31, 2014. This is a Skill Level/ Age Comb. Tournament with categories: 2.5, 3.0 , 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 all having the age breakdowns in each skill level(16-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79) 5.0 will be an Open Division.
There will be 10 outdoor courts, with the Dura Ball being used for the tournament.

The Pickleball Events will go as follows:

Friday, December 5 - Open practice time 2:00-5:00pm( please wait until 2:00pm due to set up being done)
Saturday, December 6 - Men's and Women's Doubles (All Start Times to be announced)
Sunday,December 7 - Mixed Doubles (All Start Times to be announced)

The tournament will be a Double Elimination, the top bracket matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 11pts. win by 2. The Back Draw will be one game to 15 pts., win by 2.

All Semi Final matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 11pts. win by 2. In the Finals if the player(s) from the back draw wins 2 out of three games then a second game will be played to 15pts, win by 2 for first place. There will be referees at all Semi and Final Matches, or available upon request. br><

If there are only 4-6 teams in a age grouping, a Round Robin Format may be used, less than four teams and they may be combined with the lower age grouping. In the Round Robin Format each match will be one game to 21pts. win by 1pt. or one game to 15 pts. win by 1 pt. (this is to be determined)Total points will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. In the event there is a tie, then head to head competition points will be used.Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes.

If Age within a skill group is combined Medals are given for each age group within the Draw. Skill Levels will not be combined.
There will be Referees for all Semi Final and Final matches, if you would like to help out with this, we will have a sign up for referees at the tournament site
