About This Activity
Grab your friends pick out your Costumes and get ready to run! The EVL Halloween Half is going to be one of the most fun Half Marathons you will ever participate in!
Fall is the perfect time to run a half Marathon and the ideal place to do it is in the beautiful village of Ellicottville. The EVL Halloween Half will be a fun filled Halloween-themed event on Saturday October 24, 2015. The event will feature a Half Marathon and a 5k. We encourage runners of all abilities to join us! We have an event and distance for everyone! Participants are invited to run in costume and enjoy other Halloween related activities but this is by no means mandatory. There will be Age group and Costume awards given out! So what are you waiting for? Pick out a running costume and register to join us in Ellicottville for a weekend of Halloween fun!
You, Your friends, and other runners will be running as super heroes, princesses, witches, pirates, and whatever other ingenious ideas you can create. You are only limited by your imagination! If you’d like to run but don’t want to run 13.1 miles, sign up for our 5k or Kids’ Run.
Don't want to wear a costume? No problem, we even promise not to make fun of you if you don't. This will be a USTAF certified course with chip timing for those looking to break a world record dressed as superman.
The EVL Half begins and ends in the charming village of Ellicottville. Running in the EVL Half Marathon will take you on 13.1 miles of beautiful countryside roads.
The Half will start at 11 AM on Monroe St. in the Village of Ellicottville on October 24!
Because it is October and what could be more fun? If you love running, wearing costumes, meeting other people, and having a great time, the EVL Half is for you! The race will also benefit our charity partners - The Ellicottville Sport Boosters - a group dedicated to getting local children involved in athletics, as well as the local food pantry.
Get started by registering so you can start thinking about finding a costume that won’t chafe.
