About This Activity

Are you tough enough...

to tackle the hills of Historic Ellicott City?!
Join us for our annual Hills of Milltown 5K Challenge up the hills, down the valleys and around some of the winding streets in our quaint residential historic district and pass 13 historic sites on your run!

Proceeds benefit the Beautification Fund of the Ellicott City Partnership plus up to $1,000.00 will be donated to Blossoms of Hope, The Howard County Cherry Tree Project in support of the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center at Howard County General Hospital.

Event details and schedule

Online registration closes at 10am Saturday May 7.  Late registration can be done at packet pick up at Road Runner Sports or at the starting line race morning.

During the pick-up, we will have nutrition samples and give the participants a chance to win $250 to shop at Road Runner Sports.

Race Day Registration and Packet pick-up at start site beginning at 7:00am. Day of race registration fee is $40.00.

Race begins at 8:00am. Entry fee is non-refundable. Participants must be able to complete course in 45 minutes or less.

Event is Rain or shine.

Parking is available along Ellicott Mills Drive and at Parking Lot D (behind the Welcome Center) and Roger Carter Community Center garage at 3000 Milltowne Drive off of Ellicott Mills Drive.

Plan to celebrate Mother's Day with brunch at one of Ellicott City's great resuarants. After race shower facilities are free at the Roger Carter Community Center so changing for brunch or lunch is easy! Make your reservations now at your favorite restaurant and celebrate!

Awards: Cash awards given to Best Overall Male & Female and prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the following age groups: 15 to 30, 31 to 50, 50 and above. Special Mother/Daughter and Mother/Son Prizes. 

Family Fun Area sponsored by the Roger Carter Comunity Center (Howard County Recreation and Parks) off Lot F at trace start site! Fun and games for all ages.

Post Race Party on the Courtyards of Tonge Row at Lot D. Awads presented at 9:30am. Be sure to enjoy  Ellicott City shops and restaurants while in town. Many Restaurants are featuring Mother's Day Brunch! Free after race showers at the Roger Carter Community Center.
