About This Activity
SAME DAY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE AFTER ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES! SATURDAY 8:30-9:30 AM.
A local tradition since 1982, the Run-Walk for Peace is an event of the Atlantic Northeast District Church of the Brethren Recreation Commission that supports local and global efforts to promote peace. This year's beneficiary is CWS Immigration and Refugee Program. The race starts with the release of white doves and winners are awarded unique fair trade items. Following the race, there will be kids' activities, face painting, sneaker recycling and more. In addition, there will be a bread and soup lunch.
The start and finish of the race will be at the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren (777 South Mount Joy Street). Parking will be available in the church lot, as well as on-street parking on Cedar and Mount Joy Streets. This course has been measured with a calibrated surveying wheel and the race is professionaly timed by PARunners (www.PArunners.com).
