About This Activity

The JROTC Mud Run will be  a 5K course (3.1 miles) with 20 challenging obstacles!  Be prepared to get dirty while having lots of fun!  All proceeds benefit the Elbert County JROTC program.

This is a patriotically themed mud run to commemorate Memeorial Day Weekend.

There will be a donation box available to donate to local Veteran organizations.

Event details and schedule

There will be wave starts for this event beginning at 8:30am! Arrive early to pickup your packet with t-shirt & bib number at the sign-in table.

Mud Run Obstacles 

Liberty Lane 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will run .4 miles up an incline to thin out the crowd.

Normandy 

Execution of obstacle: Participants crawl on their stomachs and below wires to negotiate this 25 ft. obstacle.

Warriors Wall 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will have to go up and over a 10 ft. wall.

Patriots Culverts 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will have to duck and crawl through culverts.

Hills of Montezuma

Execution of obstacle: Participants negotiate multiple mud piles to move on to the next obstacle.

Devils Dirt Hill

Execution of obstacle: Participants will climb up a steep mud hill dreanched in water.

Merica Mud Crawl

Execution of obstacle: Participants will dive in and out of a 20 ft. shallow and muddy pit to avoid wires above.

Mud Slide

Execution of obstacle: Participants will slide down a mud embankment to continue to the next obstacle

Amber Waves of Grain 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will crawl over stacks of hay bales throughout the course.

Patton’s Pass 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will enter into a 150 ft. muddy ditch. They will have to enter in and out of the ditch at several points.

Mojave Mud Crawl 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will crawl through a dry 30 ft. Belly crawl.

Iwo Jima Summit 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will run .3 miles up on improved road lined with amber waves of grain.

Tire Run

Execution of obstacle: Participants will step through tires for 20 ft.

Eagle Swing 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will swing across a mud pit on ropes.

Stairway to freedom 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will climb an 12 ft. ladder with 4 rungs to the top. They will then climb down the other side.

Merica Maze 

Execution of obstacle: Participants will use agility to enter and exit a maze.

Parking Information

There will be plenty of parking at the Elbert County High School Parking lots.

What to Wear

With our patriotic theme we encourage everyone to wear patriotic colors and athletic attire to take on the rugged terrain and challenging obstacles. Be sure to bring a change of clothes and towel to clean up at the wash area.

Accomodations

We will have a designated wash area for participants to clean up after the race.

There will be changing tents for participants to put on dry clothes

Port-a-lets will be available.
