About This Activity
The 21st Annual German American Oktoberfest Night Run is set for 1800 on September 13th, 2014 at Freedom Crossing on Fort Bliss. The run is sponsored by the German Air Force Air Defense Center and Fort Bliss Family and MWR. Over 1,000 participants are expected in the year's run, amongst them 400-500 walkers and 15 to 20 corporate/military teams. The event is open to the El Paso Community!
Pre race activities being at 1600. Activities include a variety of entertainment, along with the sale of German Bratwurst and pastries. The Deputy Commander of the German Air Force Air Defense Center will welcome the participants with a brief address and officially start the event.
German Coffee, Pastries, Bratwurst and of course German Bier! Live Music!

Cost: $20 through Friday, 12 September at 1500 // Late Registration $25
Pre-registration: Soto and Stout PFC through Thursday, 11 September at 1800. Freedom Crossing Food Court//Monday, 08 September - Friday, 12 September//1000-1400
Late Registration: Freedom Crossing//Saturday, 13 September//1500-1730// $5 late fee will be incurred
Packet Pick Up: Freedom Crossing Food Court//Monday, 08 September - Friday, 12 September//1000-1400 or Freedom Crossing//Saturday, 13 September//1500-1730
Performance t-shirt for all pre-registered runners
Awards: 1st through 3rd place awards will be presented in all men's and women's categories. First place awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers. **awards presented in 8K Competitive Run Only.
Military Team Competition: A team consists of a maximum of 10 members; the best five runners will be scored towards the team competition. Only teams with all active duty service members will be eligible for the monetary prizes (1st place - $1,000 // 2nd place - $500 // 3rd place - $250)
Corporate Team Competition: A team consists of a maximum of 10 members; the best five runners will be scored towards the corporate team competition.
Civilians are welcome on Post and may enter Fort Bliss by showing a U.S. Driver's License or U.S. Government Issued ID at the Buffalo Soldier Gate (previously Robert E Lee Gate by El Paso International Airport) or Cassidy Gate (off HWY 54).
