About This Activity
Join us for this year’s Super Hero Bike Ride on May 7, 2016 to support the ongoing efforts of the Good Samaritan Ministries (GSM) of the Metro East. You can save $10 by registering early (before May 4, 2015) and apply that to "Be a Super Hero" on the day of the ride by adding an additional tax-deductible $25 donation to sponsor a child in need. If you prefer to mail in your registration information and payment, feel free to download the registration form.
GSM is funded 100% through charitable donations. The funds that come in go to maintain and operate their Washington Park outreach left, purchase additional resources to be distributed, and to fund weekly outreach and training programs for adults and children. Good Samaritan Ministries is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so all your financial gifts are completely tax deductible. If you or you business would like to BE A SPONSOR please download the sponsor package for additional details on promotional options and free registrations. Also, your registration fee will be considered a donation if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, and may not be refunded.
By developing meaningful relationships with people, GSM can better understand their needs and equip them to meet those needs. As a result, GSM not only gives out groceries and helps pay bills, but now also tutors children, counsels and trains young parents, and helps young adults develop the skills necessary to succeed. The end result is not just a better person, but an entire community that is redeemed.
Event details and schedule
The ride starts and ends at The Cyclery in Edwardsville, IL with the opportunity to have fun on 12, 25, and 50 mile routes. Ride day registration/check-in opens at 7:00am with the rides starting at 8:30am and ending at 2:00pm. Every rider who registers before May 4 will get a t-shirt and those who sponsor a child will receive a custom bike tag to highlight the "extra mile" they took to support a child in need before Mother's Day.
