About This Activity

Texas Game Warden Justin Hurst was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 17, 2007- his 34th birthday.  In honor of the sacrifice he made for his community, an annual Fun Run is held on the Saturday before his birth/death date.  Proceeds from this event are donated to the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) Kids Camp- the camp Justin's widow and son attend every summer for children whose parent has been killed in the line of duty.
