Prove you’re the “Hardy Minnesotan” the rest of the country talks about by joining the Eden Prairie Women of Today on New Year’s Day in our Fresh Start 5K. You’ll earn extra "Hardy Minnesotan" Points when you walk or run the 3.1 mile (or 1 mile option) trail around Purgatory Creek in Eden Prairie, no matter what the weather is - crazy cold, snowing, blowing, raining, or maybe even beautiful & sunny!

AGAIN THIS YEAR!!!

You can complete our race Virtually!  

So if you're in a nice warm climate on New Year's Day and you'd like to show off by doing a race "in Minnesota," join in with us and we'll send you the T-Shirt and your race bib to display to all of your friends and family!  

All of our Virtual Racers will be represented at our actual event on New Year's day by our "Surrogate Racer."  She will wear a race bib for every virtual racer!

IMPORTANT NOTES:  

No Access to Restrooms on Site - Please plan accordingly.

This is an Outdoor Event on New Year's Day in Minnesota. Run responsibly! Icy patches possible - all efforts to mark rough spots throughout the course will be made. Please know your own limits.

Day Before Packet Pick-Up: December 31, 2017 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Caribou Coffee at Southwest Station, Eden Prairie

Registration Available on Day Of Event: January 1, 2018 from 9:00am - 10:30am at Caribou Coffee at Southwest Station, Eden Prairie

9:00 - 10:30am Day-Of Registration/Check-In @ Caribou Coffee at SW Station, Eden Prairie

10:30 - 10:50am Day-Of Registration/Check In @ Purgatory Creek Park Pavilion

11:00am Fresh Start 5K & 1Mile Walk/Run STARTS

12:30pm the Course Closes

Severe Weather Cancellation Details

If weather conditions are -20F actual temperature, the race will be cancelled.  Otherwise, show everyone you are a TRUE Hardy Minnesotan by coming rain / shine / hail / snowstorm / and really cold (except if it's lower than -20F actual temperature - 'cause that's just crazy-cold!)!
