About This Activity
This 6-week course is designed for those who are trying to lose weight and for those who have already lost weight and want to keep it off! The program is designed to increase activity levels to burn calories through walking using the WalkAthlete technique. Each week you will learn a new feature of the technique that builds on what you learned and practiced the previous week. You will also learn “Eat Healthy, Be Active” nutrition tips, tricks and recommendations based on the USDA Food Guidance System. This system is designed to educate you about nutrition and weight management so you can lose weight safely and keep it off. You will learn how to adopt an active lifestyle that you will enjoy so much you will want to keep it forever. Athletic walking is an enjoyable way to add the “active” into your new weight loss or weight management lifestyle. You will keep a daily nutrition and activity log to keep you on track and monitor progress. This program is designed for all fitness levels. Everyone goes at their own pace so you don’t need to worry about your speed.
Duration: 6 weeks. 1.5 hours per week. Fitness Levels: All

If any of the sessions are cancelled due to bad weather we will add an additional week to the end of the program to complete the full six weeks.
