Running-5K - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
This event benefits Maddie Hill, Marcus Josey, Ryan Arevalo and their families. Maddie, a graduate from Dover Area High School, is courageously fighting her third battle with Leukemia. Marcus Josey, a senior at Northeastern, is also in a battle with Leukemia. Ryan Arevalo, a 3rd grader at Dover Elementary School, is recovering from a recent battle with brain cancer. Maddie is the inspiration for the motto, "Fight Like Hill," that is seen and heard regularly around Dover, York County, and beyond. All of these students have more than lived up to that motto as they continue to amaze and inspire those that know and care about them with their determined fight against this horrible disease. This race, put together by their friends, classmates, and staff at Dover Area High School, will help to defray some of the costs incurred by the medical treatments and rally people around these childern and others in this day of hope.
