About This Activity

Join us on July 19, 2014 at Dexter Lake for the first annual Dragon Boat paddle challenge and be a hero to local wounded veterans!

Eugene, Cascades and Coast Sports, Emerald City Dragon Boat Club and the City of Eugene Adaptive Recreation program have teamed up to bring the sport of Dragon Boating to the public, while fundraising for a great cause. Proceeds will benefit local wounded veterans, helping them to regain an active lifestyle by sending them to the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic.

The Race

This is an exhibition event (informal and fun!), and the first of its kind in Lane County. All you need is 10-18 friends/coworkers/family members (14 years or older) and about 25 bucks per person. We'll provide the boats, the life jackets, a steerperson and a caller for each boat, and some orientation. No dragon boat experience is needed, you come ready to paddle and have fun!

A great opportunity for team-building while fundraising for a great cause!
