About This Activity

Come join us for some tail-waggin' fun on Saturday July 9, 2016 at Sloan's Lake Park for our fifth annual Walk, Run & Wag 5K and Fun Run! Bring out your loveable canine on leash and get ready to wag your tail off! IHDI has held this annual run for five years now and we highly encourage you to bring out the whole family (including your furry pooches)! We have a 5k as well as a Kid Fun Run, so everyone can be a part of the fun! We will have all types of dog-lovin' vendors at the event as well. Additionally, ear plugs will be available at the event for racers who are interested in experiencing what it's like to actually be hard-of-hearing. All proceeds from this event go directly towards our program. International Hearing Dog, Inc. pulls dogs from local animal shelters and trains them to be Hearing Dogs for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. We place anywhere from 25-30 dogs a year throughout the US and Canada, free of charge to the recipient. You can check out more information about what we do at www.hearingdog.org.
