Sat, Jul 26, 2014
About This Activity
Destination Health offers two beautiful courses that will take you through Denver's City Park. Runners and walkers choosing the 5K route will be timed and those interested in taking a shorter route are invited to enjoy the one mile option.
Participants in the walk/run receive a Destination Health t-shirt and are invited to the Health Education Expo which will feature more than 40 informational booths and entertainment. FORM A TEAM and Pledge your support: You can help support the work of the Center for African American Health by forming a team with your friends, co-workers and family and then take the challenge to create a fundraising page (click the link above on the right). Pledge forms are also available by visiting our website at www.caahealth.org.
The Center for African American Health is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the African-American community. The Center partners with a wide variety of health-education and health-delivery organizations to develop and provide culturally appropriate disease prevention and disease management programs to thousands of African Americans each year. We offer programs on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer, as well as a wellness program for seniors, and health literacy training.
