41st Annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot

About This Activity
Join 10,000 people making Mile High United Way's Turkey Trot part of their Thanksgiving tradition. This four mile fun run benefits the Denver community by focusing its efforts in the areas of School Readiness, Youth Success and Adult Self-Sufficiency.
Event Features: Entry fee includes: short sleeve tech shirt, bib with timing tag, and great pre/post race expos. A small snack and beer available in the Finish Village. Packets available for delivery (for a nominal charge), pre-race day pick-up, and race day pick-up. Competitive runners in limited waves. Dogs and strollers are welcome in the final two waves, though we do ask dog owners make a small donation for a Turkey Trot doggie bandana.
Course Description: Starting near the intersection of S. Franklin and E. Louisiana (near South High School), the course follows part of the perimeter before entering Washington Park and finishing on the diagonal park road.
Corral Placement: To continually ensure your safety and that of your fellow participants, please read the race starting and corral information below.
The event will have a minimum of five corrals.
Corral #1 - Turkey Trot (competitive) - limited to participants that can complete the four mile course at an average pace of nine minutes per mile or faster (this equated to a 36 minute finish time or faster). Please note: when running with others, this information is based on your slowest runner. Please NO strollers or dogs.

Corral #3 - Turkey Trot – filled on race day, based on a first come first serve basis. Please NO strollers or dogs.
Corral #4 and greater – filled on race day, based on a first come first serve basis. Strollers and dogs will be only allowed in these corrals.
Additional corrals may be added, dependent on registrations.
¼ Mile Family Fun-Run – a shorter path going partially around Grasmere Lake.
Event details and schedule
8:00 a.m. - Registration and corrals open
10:00 a.m. - Race begins
10:15 a.m. - First Corral start (each additional corral will start appoximately every two minutes)
11:00 a.m. - Family Fun Run start
Advanced Packet Pickup - (must register by Nov 23rd to have your packet ready for advance pickup)
If you registered online (and did not select to have your packet mailed to you) your packet will be available at the following places:
Nov 24th - Dick's Sporting Goods (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Nov 25th - Runners Roost Denver (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Nov 26th - Runners Roost Denver (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Race Day - South High School (8 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.)
If you paid to have your packet mailed to you, packets will start being sent out November 14th and you will receive it no later than November 26th. This option is only available up through Nov 13 and must be done at time of registration. For any questions concerning your mailed packets, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Parking Parking will be available at South High School in the stadium lot south of South High School, and on side streets of the Washington Park neighborhood. It is recommended you arrive in plenty of time.
What to Bring
ID - Don't forget to bring your ID to the race if you want to partake in the post-race craft beer garden sponsored by Great Divide Brewing Co.z
Mid-Layer - This year, we decided to upgrade our race shirts so everyone gets a short-sleeve tech tee. Bring a mid-layer (long sleeve shirt) to wear under this year's tech tee!
