Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention 5K Walk
Sat, Oct 8, 2016
Walking-5K - Anyone 13 and older
Walking-5K - Children 12 and under
About This Activity
This is our 10th Annual 5K Walk. Though we have focused on teen suicide the past 9 years, this year we plan to add military veterans and their families as participants and speakers. We are all too aware of the many struggles our veterans face after they have served their country and we want to acknowledge those we have lost to suicide. One of our Project Brite Star board members lost his sister to suicide in 2003,he was serving in the USAF and took her life at the age of 20.
Event details and schedule
Registration will begin at 9:00 AM and the Walk will begin at 10:00 AM. Maps will be on the Project Brite Star website and we will have guides on the course.

The course starts in Rotary Park and winds through a local neighborhood. We have reserved the park shelter. Parking is available across the street from the shelter with handicapped parking nearer the shelter. We will have a cookout and games for all ages. Please bring photos of loved ones to place on our memory board and include their names and other info you would like to share.
