DES Gator Gallop 5K/1 Mile /Fun Run

Run and have some fun at the DES Gator Gallop benefitting Davidsonville Elementary School!  DES is hosting 3 race distances including a 5K, a 1 mile run, and a 100-yard gallop on Saturday, May 9, 2015.

  • 5K - A trail run around Davidsonville Park, 2 loops. 

  • 1 Mile - Ages 4 - 11 only. 

  • Fun Run - 100 yard gallop for the kids.

The Gator Gallop is an untimed, fun family event for all. Runners and walkers of all abilities are encouraged to register. Funds raised will go toward new playground equipment for the school.

DES is also having a spaghetti dinner the night before the race, Friday, May 8th. The dinner will be held at the school. Tickets will be sold at the school the week prior to the event. Bib pickup will occur during the spaghetti dinner. No bib pickup will be available on race day.

Race Information & Fees

  • 5K registration by 4/24/15 = $25 (t-shirt included)

  • 1 Mile registration by 4/24/15 = $15 (t-shirt included)

  • Fun Run registration by 4/24/15 = $5 (medal included)

T-shirts guaranteed only to those who pre-registered for the 5K/1 mile by 4/24. Medals guaranteed only to those who pre-registered for the fun run by 4/24.

  • 6:00 - 8:00 pm bib pickup during the spaghetti dinner only (no race day pickup will be allowed); DES school

Saturday, May 9, 2015

  • 8:00 am 5K run start
  • 9:00 am 1 mile run start
  • 9:20 am (approximately 100 yard gallop start)

Parking is available at the park. Please meet at the pavilion for the pre-race warm up. Signs will direct participants to the start of the 5K, 1 mile and fun run.
