The Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon is on Sunday, September 13th on the Ingersoll Rand Campus in Davidson, NC. This venue has proven to be a memorable setting for triathletes, from beginners to seasoned veterans. The 500 yard swim is a closed loop in a protected cove in Lake Davidson. The 13 mile bike ride leaves the Ingersoll Rand campus to form a loop just north of Davidson with great police support at intersections. The run is a closed loop following the walking trails that surround the Ingersoll Rand campus and stays on the campus to create a safe and scenic venue.
This USAT sanctioned event is open to the general public as well as to employees and family members of participating corporations. It is fourth event of the Jimmie Johnson Wellness Challenge series, a multi-company wellness initiative to promote health and fitness through the sports of swimming, biking and running. The event can be done as an individual or as a relay team.
The Jimmie Johnson Foundation is proud to announce that event proceeds from the Wellness Challenge will support current Foundation programs.
