About This Activity

Dane Dash

Enjoy a truly rural biking experience through the beautiful county side of northern Dane County. This first time bike event will appeal to riders of all experiences. The mid morning ride will take you over rural paved roads near Dane, Wisconsin.  This ride is on open roads, not on a closed course therefore, all riders must follow all the rules of the road.  This means stopping at all stop signs and following all traffic rules as our goal is to provide a safe biking journey during the entire ride.  *Helmets are required at all times.

The start and finish are at the Village of Dane Lake Melvin Park at 140 Dane Street in Dane.  There are two exciting bike routes, a "Family Route" of 5 miles and a longer "Dane Route" of 32 miles.  Both routes are on rural roads near the Village of Dane that include rural vistas of farms, woodlands and wetlands and, hills that you can coast down (after riding up the hills, of course).
