For the the fourth year, RDE ventures east to the beautiful town of Dandridge and Douglas Lake for the 3rd annual Lakeside of the Smokies triathlon. Back for 2016 is the 750 meter Swim/16 mile Bike/3 mile Run sprint option. The Olympic distance race features a 2 lap triangular open water swim, followed by a rolling loop bike course, capped off by a challenging run through town and across the famous Dandridge levy (aid stations ~every mile). The sprint option is a condensed version of the Olympic course (one lap swim), with a much flatter run course. Greenlayer performance shirts, race logo socks, unique “wooden boat paddle” awards, and post-race pizza highlight the Jefferson Co. event. Expected participation--200
Day of race registration is available at the race site, starting at 6am. Olympic distance individual is $100, sprint distance individual is $85. Day of race Olympic relays will be $115, sprint relays $100.
