About This Activity
DFW TRI CLUB Winter Running Group
If you have run a 5k in the past and wondered if you could go a bit farther, or do you enjoy being part of a community and working towards a common goal, or maybe you just want to stay fit and keep racing in the offseason. If so, come join the DFW Tri Club Winter Running Group with Coach Lyndsi Bieging and Coach Brian Wellman.
We will target the Hot Chocolate 15k and the Cowtown Half or Full Marathon as our group races, but you don't have to race if you don't want to - you can just come out and run with our group. All ability levels are welcome.
The coached workouts will give you exposure to proper form and race techniques that will make your next race fun and more enjoyable. The group dynamic will motivate you and help keep your fitness up during the cold winter months. And the clinics will increase your overall knowledge of running and staying fit.
Event details and schedule
The group will kick off on Monday, November 9th. There will be two options for participating in the group:
12 week program (November 9 - February 6) targeting Hot Chocolate
15 week program (November 9 - February 27) targeting Cowtown Half or Full Marathon
If you can't commit to the whole 12 or 15 weeks that is fine too - we still want to see your smiling face so you can drop into a workout at any time. See below for details!
