About This Activity
PLEASE NOTE - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED to 05/21/2016 DUE TO FLOODING.
The 6th Annual 5K Run for Human Rights will take place in a new location this year. Starting at The Trinity River Audubon Center, runners will run down and back the Trinity River Trail. Runners will enjoy the beautiful tree-lined paved trail as they run in the early morning cool air. The race will be timed using chip-to-chip technology.
Before the race, runners will enjoy a wonderful mix of world music, coffee and breakfast items. Additionally, for families with small children (8 and under) a short 1k fun-run will be organized so even the youngest among us can enjoy they day. After the short fun-run they can enjoy the lovely trails at the Audubon Center, free of charge.
As runners make their way back to the park after the race, prizes and medals will be awarded at the Trinity River Audubon Center and breakfast and coffee will be provided.
