About This Activity

The 3rd annual Run for the Seals takes place on a scenic, loop course around the Crescent City Harbor using the California Coastal Trail and city bike paths. It is held during the peak of autumn when crisp, clear weather is the norm.
----
This year we will again present both a 5 and 10k fun run and a free 1k kids race. The kids race is free and the only race in which all participants are guaranteed medals for finishing!
----
All events start and finish at the Northcoast Marine Mammal Center. The 1k is a quick out and back on the Harbor Bike Trail to the Fred Endert Pool and then back to the NMMC. The 5k travels via the bike path to Ocean World and then back to the B Street pier to make a full loop. The 10k follows the 5k course, but also extends into the Harbor with a turnaround at Whalers Rock.
----
The Run for the Seals is a fundraising event for the non-profit Northcoast Marine Mammal Center, an all volunteer organization. All proceeds will go to buying fish, medicine, and paying facility costs to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured seals back into their natural habitat!!
