About This Activity

Breif Description:

The Golden Eagle Country Run is one of the oldest and toughest runs in the Upper

Cumberland! It has been in existence in one form or another since at least 1978! This race is put on by the Cadets and Cadre of the Tennessee Technological University Army ROTC Department and serves as a final test of our Seniors leadership and planning abilities before they commission as Army Officers and gives them some real world experience in leadership before they start their Army careers. The planning, staffing, conduct, and timing that is necessary to the successful running of The Golden Eagle Country Run mirror that of conducting current fast paced, highly coordinated military operations.

This is the main fundraiser for the Cadets Student Fund which allows the Cadets to fund the many clubs and activities which they participate in, such as food for tailgating prior to football games, the Spring Military Ball, the annual Cadet t shirt, and the many clubs that the Cadets participate in.
