About This Activity
What: A 5k run & walk race to raise money for the Upper Arlington athletic teams, cheerleaders, and band, at Upper Arlington High School, Hastings Middle School, and Jones Middle School.
When:Saturday, July 16, 2016 8:00 am
Where: Start at Upper Arlington High School (Main entrance – 1650 Ridgeview Road)
Why: To help reduce the raising costs for these Upper Arlington programs including participation fees, travel costs, uniforms, etc.
How:$10 from every race entry fee goes directly to the specific program (or booster program, as determined by coach, or director), at a designated school, which is selected by the race participant. In this manner each school program can have a hand in their fund raising efforts by encouraging race participants to sign up and select their particular program. Please note this is both a run, and a walk, to be more inclusive.
$35 through Thursday, July 14 - on line
$40 on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16th - at race site at High School
Event details and schedule
Packet Pick Up at Upper Arlington High School Lobby - 1650 Ridgeview Rd, Columbus, OH 43221 - access to the school on the north side through the parking lot entrance by the gym and on the south side through the main entrance of the High School.
Friday, July 15 – 3:00 pm thru 7:00 pm
Saturday, July 16 – 6:30 am thru 7:45 am
Race Start is at 8am at the Main Entrance into the school off Ridgeview Road
The course is a three lap course around the High School property with the Start and Finish at the main entrance of the High School.
Parking will be in all High School lots off Brandon Road and Mt Holyoke Road. If lots are full then use side streets with permissable parking in area near the high school. Please arrive early.
NO PETS - this is not a pet run. Please do bring dogs, or other animals, to run with you. It is not safe for any of the other particpants, and you will not be allowed to particpate if you bring a pet to run with you.
Rest rooms will be available in the school prior to, and after, the event.
There is a 1 hour time limit on the race. The race can be delayed up to 2 hours due to lightening. Weather can cancel the event if the race cannot start by 10am. There will be no refunds if weather cancels the event.
Dress appropriately for a summer run. It will be likely be hot. There will be water and Gatorade on the course.
All participants must have a signed waiver to particpate - no exceptions.
All minors will have to have a parent / legal guardian signauture to particpate - no exceptions.
