About This Activity

The Columbus 10K presented by RUNOHIO is one of the oldest races in Ohio, and is considered "The Oldest Road Race in Columbus." The event originally began forty years ago as the Citizen Journal 10K. For over a decade RUNOHIO's Matt McGowan, who was the winner of the inaugural race, oversaw the event. Since 2009 the event has been directed by Andy Harris and Jim Jurcevich with help from the Columbus Running Company

Today the event has become one of the premier 10Ks in the state. Free post-race breakfast for participants is provided by the Columbus Running Club. If you're are a front of the pack runner, we have generous cash awards and age group awards run five deep. The setting downtown is perfect, with a fantastic route through the new Arena District, the Short North, Victorian Village, and the Olentangy trail system. We hope you have the opportunity to participate in this great event!

The 2017 event is again a part of the RUNOHIO GrandPrix.
